"Grooves" is a collaboration between Vestbo Trio and Uffe Steen Trio. It's the follow-up to their album "Doppler Effect", which they released together in 2018. But this time there's a new twist.
"Grooves" brings the two trios together, forming what is now a powerful sextet! On "Grooves" you get all 6 musicians playing together on all the tracks. It's no longer two trios - it's a band!
Side A was recorded as a live session at the venue Fermaten. There was no audience: We set up everything on the floor, Dennis Ahlgren mic'ed everything so we could play in a circle together, and then we hit the record button. For the vibe, see the video above!
Side B was recorded live on the road, this is a powerful set that we're proud of!
Mastered by the legendary Bob Katz, the sound is stunning!
